Julia Gerdes scored the overtime game-winner for Andover against Hill-Murray last week.
1. Holy Family (13-0)
Holy Family continues to pass every test, shutting out Hutchinson and Benilde-St. Margaret's last week before edging No. 3-2A Centennial/Spring Lake Park 3-2 over the weekend.
The biggest takeaway from last week's games could be that the Fire have found a running mate for Ruby Simet in goal next season after all-world netminder Kayla Swartout graduates. Freshman Allie Callinan stopped all nine shots she faced in the win over Hutchinson. It's a small sample size, but the Fire coaching staff is preparing for life after Swartout.
2. Centennial/Spring Lake Park (11-2-1)
Coupled with the Hill-Murray loss to No. 10-2A Andover, the Cougars bump up even after losing to top-ranked Holy Family because they have something Minnetonka doesn't - a win over a top-five Class AA team.
3. Minnetonka (9-0-2)
The Skippers outscored North Wright County and River Cities 16-1 last week, and Delaney Miller now has company at the top of the scoring table. Sophomore Kennedy Hochbaum's two goals and three assists last week match her with Miller at 23 total points to lead the Skippers.
4. Edina (7-3-1)
Wins over Benilde-St. Margaret's and Maple Grove push the Hornets just ahead of Hill-Murray this week, albeit with a loss to the Pioneers on the books. The Hornets will take on Andover on Tuesday, Dec. 23, before breaking for the holiday and coming back for the Walser Invitational.
5. Hill-Murray (12-2)
Hill-Murray's normally lethal power play (63.2% success rate) was held to a rare scoreless outing against the Huskies, which stumped the Pioneers on four tries with the player-advantage. Rosemount is the lone game on this week's schedule.
6. Bemidji (8-1)
A six-goal first period powered the Lumberjacks to a 9-2 win over Crookston, as Bailey Rupp racks up four goals and six points, while Millie Knott hands out five assists. The Lumberjacks will travel to Roseau on Monday night to conclude their pre-Christmas schedule.
7. Andover (8-5)
Slotting a team that averages 2.54 goals per game at No. 7-2A feels high, but the win over the defending state champion and preseason favorite to repeat should be rewarded. The question is now how the Huskies will respond after the upset victory. Will it be a harbinger of momentum, or the highlight of the season?
8. Wayzata (10-2-1)
The Trojans followed their first top-10 win with back-to-back shutouts of Chaska/Chanhassen (9-0) and Blaine (4-0) last week. The Trojans now have three players - Julia Ostapeci, Noelle Noble, and Ava Molde - who have reached the 20-point summit.
9. Benilde-St. Margaret's (8-4-1)
The Red Knights rebounded after a 6-0 loss to top-ranked Holy Family with a 3-1 win over a quality Farmington squad, getting a hat trick from Talla Hansen and a 26-save performance from Emma Matack. BSM will take on Orono on Monday afternoon before the holiday break.
10. Maple Grove (7-4)
The Crimson were shut out 2-0 by Edina in their only game last week. Now 1-3 in its previous four games, Maple Grove faces Westonka/Southwest Christian before heading to Braemar Ice Arena for the Walser Invitational.
Talla Hansen, Benilde-St. Margaret's
1. Warroad (11-2)
The Warriors earned routine wins over Thief River Falls and St. Cloud last week, and appear to be rid of the bug that led to a 2-2 stretch in late November. Warroad will host Crookston, Albert Lea, and North Shore at this year's annual Warroad Holiday Tournament.
2. Blake (10-2)
With an overtime win over a top-10 opponent in Marsahall, and with Dodge County falling to Proctor/Hermantown, the Bears ease their way into the No. 2 slot this week. The Bears held the Tigers to a 0-5 mark on the power play, and followed the same formula - the Janie McGawn Special - to the win.
3. Breck (8-1)
The Mustangs blanked Westonka/Southwest Christian on Saturday by a score of 5-0, with five players scoring goals and a total of 38 shots between the two teams.
4. Proctor/Hermantown (8-3-2)
With a 5-1 road win over previous No. 2-1A Dodge County, the Mirage bumps up to No. 4-1A this week. The Mirage is unbeaten in its last six games, going on a 4-0-2 run. Six players have now reached double-digits in points for the Section 7A favorite.
5. Dodge County (9-3)
The loss to Proctor/Hermantown stings, especially coming on the Wildcats' home ice. The Blake holiday event schedule is still TBD, but it should give the defending Class A champs a shot to move back up with one or two quality wins.
6. Mankato East (11-0-1)
There are legitimate reasons to keep a team like Orono ranked ahead of the Cougars, but it's Christmas, and I feel flossy.
The Cougars haven't been held below five goals in a single game since a 4-4 tie with Minnesota River in mid-November, and earned a quality win over last week's seventh-ranked team, Albert Lea. Alexis Erickson, Ava Tibodeau, and Ella Fugazzi each recorded five points in the Cougars' 14-0 win over Red Wing last week.
7. Orono (7-6-1)
If you enjoy puzzles, you'll love the Spartans.
They do things like hang with Minnetonka and beat Dodge County, then find themselves on the short end of losses against unranked Class AA teams Eden Prairie (3-8 going into the game) and Moorhead.
8. Albert Lea (7-3)
The loss to Mankato East was the only game on the Tigers' docket, as their game against Rochester Century/John Marshall was postponed. They'll head to Warroad on Dec. 29 for the Warroad Holiday Tournament.
9. Minnesota River (11-1-1)
A 32-save performance from Annika Magelee and overtime heroics from Cristina Cruz push the Bulldogs into the top-10 this week after a 3-2 win over Marshall in extra innings. The Bulldogs will play Marshall again on Jan. 3 and Dodge County on Jan. 6, which should give us a clearer picture of just how good they really are.
10. Westonka/Southwest Christian (5-4-2)
Had Chisago Lakes beaten Duluth, the Wildcats would have taken over the No. 10 spot this week, but the White Hawks live to fight another (ranked) day. The White Hawks will play Maple Grove on Monday and Chaska/Chanhassen on Tuesday before Christmas.
Ava Tibodeau, Mankato East

We shuffled the deck this week here but Rochester still clings to the #1 spot for now. Edina White makes a big splash this week debuting into the rankings at #2 with a 9-1-3 record. With some of the Head to Head results we can shake things out from there for the next couple of spots. Farmingtton gets a good boost in the rankings this week after tying #1 Rochester 2-2 on December 18th. #6 Brainerd/Little Falls had a great weekend winning the Fargo Tournament this weekend defeating #7 Alexandria in the process.

No major shakeup in 12A this week. Edina holds serve as top team with a nice T5 win over Chaska Chan. We will see both of those teams in the Danglefest in a week.
Eagan/IGH hops Warroad in the rankings with an OT win over the Warriors in Hockeytown USA on Sunday. The Spartacats Luaren Lunneborg scored the GWG in OT.

Edina Gold wins the battle of the Edina's defeating Edina Black 3-2 to take the #1 spot. The rest of the rankings from 2-6 hold in the same order but with a little bit of difference for 2-3 for Edina Black and Orono/Westonka respectively. Cannon River, Hutchinson and Farmington round out 4-6. We have a change to the #7 spot as we debut Wayzata Gold replacing Wayzata Blue as the Trojan representative in the rankings as one of the three new members in the Top 10. Another program swap happens with Roseville/Mahtomedi Silver taking over for the Navy team after defeating them 3-1. Our last debutant is New Ulm/Sleepy Eye coming in at #10, two of their three losses are to #5 Hutchinson.

Only a few games between T10 teams this week and the higher ranked team won each team in close battles (YHH ranker guy = happy).
Wayzata nips Hopkins/Park (2-1) and Edina White slips by Edina Green 3-2, Mila Heinmiller scores the GWG for the White Hornets.
Cloquet, Farmington and Lakeville were in the running for the 10 slot. Lumberjacks get the nod with a 93.57 strength of schedule.

Sadly there isn't much to report for the 10UB division as a lot of the Top 10 was idle. We are bumping Rosemount up to #4 as they tied with #3 Inver Grove Heights/Eagan Blue. The rest of the ranking positions/order hold to last week's edition, with Waseca keeping the #1 rank and are undefeated this season. Still looking for more and more teams to get games played.
