Commentary

Moorhead and Tonka continue to battle it out. This past weekend they skated to split on the Spud's home ice. YHH keeps Tonka on top.

Stillwater gets a good win over SLP/CR and moves up a couple notches. Lakeville South enters the T10 with an eight game win streak.

Commentary

After a big weekend at the Lumberjack Cup, including taking home the title, Mankato jumps to the #1 spot in this week's rankings. Osseo Maple Grove had an off week and will be watching their scores coming in to see if this slide is short lived. Hopkins had a rough week and dropped to #5 but they hold steady above some of the other teams here with Head to Head victories. Moorhead had a strong weekend only dropping to eventual tournament Champions and #1 Mankato so given their body of work flipping them with Forest Lake.

Commentary

Not too much to report to the Top 4 in this week's as they remain the same. Congrats to #4 Cottage Grove Wolfpack for winning the Inver Grove Heights Tournament this weekend! Rankings 5-10 have some shake up this week, Mahtomedi gets a big jump to #5 after only dropping a game to Cottage Grove and given their strength of schedule giving them the nod over Mankato this week. Minnetonka Black drops to #8 after dropping games to Cottage Grove and Mahtomedi. Eden Prairie and Osseo/Maple Grove hold loosely onto the 9 and 10 spots this week but teams are right behind them knocking at the door. Also shoutout to Edina White for taking the title at the Moorhead Tournament.

Commentary

A couple of movers this week in PWAA. Chaska Chan slides down after two big losses to district opponents OMG and Tonka. Cottage Groves moves up a couple after an impressive performance in the Lumberjack Cup.

Can anyone stop OMG this year? The Leafbirds have won 27 games since losing to Chaska Chan on October 11.  OMG is not flashy. But they are very good at everything. They lead the state in goals for (211) and have the widest goal differential (4.86). If that isn't enough, Finn Carrithers and Jaxon Lyon will shut you down between the pipes.

7 Mankato 9 LW
8 Osseo/Maple Grove 3 LWLW
9 Faribault 9 WW
10 West St Paul Sibley 8 W

Commentary

Don't let those two losses fool you, #1 Orono chose to play up in the Peewee AA Lumberjack Cup this weekend and did well, so they retained the top spot. The Woodbury Predators get a good boost this week after winning the Lumberjack Cup defeating Anoka who jumps up to #4 in the rankings after finishing as the runner up. Cloquet also had a good weekend in Blaine/Stillwater only losing to Woodbury so get a higher rank than Osseo/Maple Grove Black. Mankato's only loss this week was to AA White Bear Lake. Faribault a week removed from beating #4 Anoka just doesnt have another quality result which is holding them towards the bottom of the rankings, but props to them for being undefeated to start the season so far.

Congrats to the Orono Spartans for taking home the 2025 Lumberjack Cup this past weekend. After a couple of odd results for Prior Lake Navy and Hermantown, Edina White's runner up finish to Orono propels them to #3 in this edition of the ranking. Prior Lake had an interesting go of it this weekend in Bloomington and drops to #5 this week, will be keeping an eye on these scores. Welcome to the Top 10 Grand Rapids Orange after a good showing at the Lumberjack Cup only falling to Orono.

Commentary

Some say winter came in like a lion this year. Well, so did Minnetoka's SQA team. The Skippers sat out the first few weeks of "official" scoring (three games until 12-13) and creamed the competition in the EP tournament last weekend outscoring their opponents 38-5 in four games. The Skippers are now #3.

Hastings on the other hand is up to 16 games and still remain spotless. On Sunday, the Raiders took down #4 Andover at the ACC 5-4.

As of today, nine of the YHH's T10 will be in Blaine for the YHH Squirtacular!

Commentary

Well here is our first crack at the Top 10, with the caveat that approximately half of the level has played 4 games or less. Minnetonka White takes the inaugural ranking #1 after winning the Rochester Tournament this past weekend. Hopkins, Duluth, Wayzata Gold and Forest Lake round out the Top 5. We will look to see how things shake out over the next couple of weeks with Holiday tournaments and other games get played.
