1.  #9 Black-Jessica Aney/Rochester Century-Some players don’t have the best skating form, but turn out to be great skaters in a game.  YHH focused on Aney at the summer camp because she does not have the best skating form, but was the #3 scorer in the state last season with 72 points.  At St. Cloud, Aney started her games a little slow and really rolled as the game progressed.  Aney has great, quick, puck movement low in the corners playing wing.  She ranges well covering two thirds of the ice side to side and constantly back checks.  After watching her, YHH now knows why she was the #3 scorer in the state last year.

2.  #8 Yellow-Sydney Brodt/Mounds View-Brodt plays a strong physical game and she plays it smartly.  She is also a goal scorer, putting 33 points on the board last season for the Mustangs.

3.  #15 Yellow-Livia Twobig/Woodbury-Twobig is a rangy forward that shows a lot of work ethic on the ice, constantly trying to physically breakdown the defense.  She has a lot of upside potential and will develop even more in the next year or two.  She played a full season for the Royal’s varsity last year and scored 8 points.

4.  #10 Sky Blue-Carly Bullock/Blake-Bullock is tough in her skates and more than once she was driving for the net holding her edges with opponents trying to knock her off the puck.  She scored 23 points for the Class A State Champion Blake team last season.

5.  #15 Kelly Green-Madison Nolan/Forest Lake-Nolan is a strong hard working forward that can score.  She was Forest Lake’s #4 scorer last year posting 18 points in 25 games.

6.  #12 Josee Lindgren/Roseau U14-Lindgren is a great skater and has the physical and strength to turn the play in the offensive zone.  Lindgren is a player with a good deal of potential.

7.  #17 Kelly Green-Allison Wiitala/Wayzata-Allison has the good skating, the good shots, and a great awareness of the game; but she has that desire to stick with the play and make something out of nothing.

8.  #11 Red-Hayley Mack/East Grand Forks-Mack is a playmaker and a good scorer at center.  That makes her a smart player.  She has all the skills and put 54 points on the board for the Green Wave varsity last season.

9.  #17 Red-Michelle Holmes/Andover-An easy choice, Holmes was always in the action and teamed with Larson, had a good camp.  Holmes has good size and skills and is on the verge of making it to the next level of play.

10. #16 Royal-Kara Torkleson-She is a strong forward that could be either a wing or a center because she has great game awareness and sticks with the puck.  She put 15 points on the board for the Prowler’s varsity last season.
11. #10 Red-Kathryn Larson/Roseville-Larson plays tough in the corner and tougher in front of the net.  She was one of the strongest skaters on the ice at the summer camp.  Larson played a full season for Roseville’s varsity last season scoring 9 points.

12. #15 Sky Blue-Kathryn Smith/Hill-Murray-All around forward that plays her position well, Smith is a scorer putting 22 points on the board for the Hill varsity last season.

1.  #35 Kelly Green-Clare Minnerath/Sartell/Sauk Rapids-At YHH we always like the goalies that play the game, rather than focusing on the “guarding of the net”.  Playing the game means the goalie knows how to guard, she is doing that automatically.  Instead, their focus is on the game and the context of the play.  Minnerath is a goalie that is starting to do that.

2.  #35 Yellow-Sydney Scobee/Breck- Well schooled, Scobee played in the net well, holding her position.  A solid goal tender for Breck, she split the season and posted a 7-4-0 record giving up 1.88 goals per game.

1.   #2 Royal-Grace Blowby/Edina-Blowby has nice size, but is a defensive player that is looking at the play and making the right decision, but she also has that ability to rush the puck and take off up ice.

2.  #7 Royal-Anna Williams/Hastings-Williams is a solid defensive player and can work the puck out of the zone deep by taking what the opponent will give her and turning it into the right breakout play.  She has all the skills and played a full season for the Raider’s varsity last year posting 7 points.

3.  #2 Red-Sara Eyer/Wayzata U14-Another solid defensive player from Wayzata (they teach them well in Trojan Town), except Eyer can score.

4.  #7 Kelly Green-Makayla Langel/East Grand Forks-Langel covers her position well and knows how to score.  Last season, she put 30 points on the board for the Green Wave.

5. #5 Sky Blue-Allison Roethke/Buffalo-Roethke is another tough defensive player clearing out the front of her net and constantly working to unnerve the opponents.  She put 20 points on the board for the Bison varsity last season.

6.  #5 Yellow-Katherine Rydland/Eden Prairie-Rydland can move the puck out of the defensive zone, but she was hard to beat on the rushes.  Rydland put 13 points on the board for the Eagle’s varsity last season.

7.  #5 Royal-Patrica Marshall/Shattuck-A lanky defensive player, Marshall has a coolness playing defense.  She was the most experienced player on the ice at the summer camp playing in 61 games and posting 35 points for the Sabres.  Marshall was one of three Thief River Falls players at the summer camp.
