Eastview’s Bennett Weestrand with one of his 30 saves versus Armstrong Cooper on Sunday.

Usually on Sunday nights, we are revealing a long list of tournament champions.  On this Sunday we have a couple, but because of the MLK holiday…hardware will be decided all over tomorrow in some great tournaments, so far.

Roseau PWA

Final Four: Edina > Blaine (9-2) and Eden Prairie > Brainerd (4-3, OT/SO).  Note: that was EPs third shootout of the tournament.

More footage from Roseau’s best cheering section…rumor has it the accordian player is Bob Lund, who played for the 1965 U.S. National team.  My apologies for the side screen view…my technical skills fade after “cut” and “paste”.

Third Place: Blaine > Brainerd (4-3)

Championship: Edina > Eden Prairie 8-3…no shootout needed

Other games of note: CC > EGF (7-0), LVN > Roseau (5-4, OT/SO), LVS > Hermantown (6-2), Minnetonka > Stillwater (10-2).

Bloomington Squirt A

Red Pool: Stillwater > MAML (4-2) and Eden Prairie > Burnsville (3-2…this one was more like a tie…BV had to win outright to advance and allowed an ENG in the end).  Eden Prairie advances (nice run Eagles).

Blue Pool: Eastview > Armstrong (3-1), Prior Lake > Kennedy (11-1), Prior Lake > Armstrong (4-0), and Eastview > Kennedy (8-0). Prior Lake advances to play Eden Prairie.
