Just a note that Dayton Rasmussen, YHH top peewee A pick last March for the 2011-2012 season, played his first game in goal for Holy Family Catholic High School against the Minneapolis Novas. The Fire beat the Novas 9-2. Dayton had 16 saves in the nets playing the entire game in earning his first high school win.
The win evened the Fire’s record for this season at 2-2. They had lost earlier to Edina 7-2 and to St. Thomas Academy 6-1. The Fire beat Maple Grove 5-2 earlier this season.
The Fire play Elk River tonight before opening Wright County Conference play against Hutchinson on Thursday.
