A Family Affair

Hill Murray eighth grade defenseman Mikey Anderson verbally committed to play hockey for the University of Minnesota Duluth today. The first Minnesota player in the class of 2018 to make a Division I pledge. Anderson, the younger brother of Hill Murray standout Freshman Joey Anderson stands 5'10" and weighs in at 185 pounds.

Anderson told YHH today that playing college hockey with his brother has always been a dream of his. "I chose UMD for three reasons, I love the coaches, I love Duluth, and I get to play with my brother in college." The rugged left handed D Man played a regular shift for the this year, much like his brother did last year for the Pioneers.

The Andersons played youth hockey in the Roseville system. Being a year apart, Joey and Mikey got a chance to skate together every other year. Looking forward, this duo will have a lot of time playing together.
