PeeWee AA/A Tourney to Honor the State's Great Heritage on the Iron Range

Historic Miners Arena in Virginia, MN

YHH in partnership with the Hibbing/Chisholm Hockey Association will host a PeeWee AA/A tournament called the Founder's Cup. The 32 team tournament will be held January 2nd through the 4th on the historic Iron Range of Northern Minnesota. The Founder's Cup will be played in the historic Hibbing Memorial Arena, Hodgins-Berardo Arena, aka "The Snakepit" in Coleraine, The Miners in Virginia, and The Hipprodome in Eveleth.

Besides facing top competition from all over the Upper Midwest and Canada, teams will be able to visit the US Hockey Hall of Fame in Eveleth as well as learn about the vast history of hockey in this region of Minnesota.

The winner of the tournament will earn a return invite for the following season and the traveling Founder's Cup for a year. YHH will be on-site to cover the tourney - broadcasting games via live stream and updating our readers with live scoring, scoring leaders and players to watch all weekend. We can't wait to take in some history and see some great hockey.

The demand for the tournament should be very high again this year, last year there was a six team waiting list. We think the demand will be highest from the projected high-end PeeWee A teams and the PeeWee AA teams with something to prove. To get your association's PeeWee team committed or inquire, send an email to editor@youthhockeyhub.com.
