After a week of tryouts final spots selected

Rochester's Jacob Gathje won a spot in the BEL at the Goalie Only Tryout Monday night.

The Bantam Elite League announced it's final players from their four tryout sessions last week. They chose 44 players to fill out the six Metro teams that will compete next Summer and Fall. Over 120 players including 15 goalies showed up to Bloomington Ice Garden for a shot to play against the state's best Bantam players.

Six players from Edina, five from Lakeville and four from Eagan made the league with notable performances by Eagan's Drew Wilson and Keegan Johnson. Other players of note were Forest Lake's Jackson Wille and Blaine's Will Hillman...both were spectacular in their bid for the BEL on Wednesday night.

Goalies Jacob Gathje from Rochester (pronounced Gat-Ke) and Grant Boldt from Centennial stood out in the Goalie Only tryout Monday night.

The League will announce their teams including two teams from the North on Sunday, September 21 at the completion of this year's BEL Championship game. YHH will carry the announcement live stream from Braemar Arena.
