Each year the staff at YHH sees new teams burst onto the scene from all over Minnesota. Some are expected based on who they return from two years prior and others do well with the addition of a new superstar on their team. Then there are teams that flat out surprise us. The Northeast Metro Stars in 12A had a decent team two years ago as 10A's, but they played in a tough District (2) and battled. This year, after starting out 0-2-1 they have rattled off 10 straight wins, including two wins over Stillwater and Forest Lake in District play. Wayzata Blue in Bantam B have had an equally impressive string of wins the last few weeks. Wins over both Minneapolis teams, Elk River (Black), North Metro and on Saturday they beat #1 Prior Lake.
