Joe Miller scores on the powerplay Saturday for the Badgers
An exciting Saturday of hockey at the Girls level in the PeeWee Challenge. The Badgers are in the Championship with two wins over the Wolverines and Buckeyes. Their first win was a thriller over the Wolverines in rink 2 at Bloomington Ice Garden. After Gabbie Krause scored for the Wolverines with 26 seconds left, the Red Machine's Emily Chronkite scored with four ticks left to win it for the Badgers!
The Gophers had a big day Saturday as well winning both games, one over the Irish (3-1) and another over the Buckeyes (5-3). The Gophers will take on the Wolverines Sunday morning for a shot at the Badgers for the title later Sunday afternoon.

Sydney Phaneuf, Irish - The Virginia Forward showed amazing talent with puck scoring an amazing highlight reel goal for the Irish top shelf.
MacKenzie Bourgerie, Badgers - Had a big day for the Badgers including a goal and an assist to beat the Buckeyes.
Ashley Halverson, Wolverines - notched three goals and an assist Saturday for the Wolverines. Expect a big day Sunday from Halverson if the Wolverines are to beat the Gophers.

What a day in the Minor PeeWees on Saturday at Bloomington Ice Garden. The stars shined bright...Isaac Howard had five goals and three assists in two games as the Irish inched closer to a bid to the Championship Sunday. The Badgers got two wins (Irish and Wolverines) and clinched a spot in the Championship. Tyler Haskins had a goal and two assists.
If the Buckeyes can beat the undefeated Badgers Sunday and can get some help from the always dangerous Wolverines, they can sneak into the title game on Sunday afternoon. In this division, just about anything can happen.

Isaac Howard, Irish - The snandout from Hudson made a snowman on the scoresheet Saturday using his power and quickness to generate offense for the Irish.
Damon Furuseth, Buckeyes - had three goals and an assist for the Bucks...Furuseth has terrific puck skills and an amazing goal scoring presence on the ice.
Ethan Sillerud, Badgers - collected four goals for the Badgers, two in each win Saturday for the Badgers. Sillerud has a great shot and seems to always find himself in space to score.
Dylan Godbout scores in Shootout for Gophers Saturday
The Major PeeWees lined up five times Saturday at Bloomington Ice Garden and each game contained some unbelievable highlights of talent. The Wolverines and Buckeyes seem to be headed toward the title game Sunday. The Gophers stand in the way of the Bucks in an early Sunday game.
The game of the featured the Badgers and Buckeyes. The Badgers fought off a disappointing finish to the first half giving up two late goals trailing 2-1 at half. They fought back and got the win. The line of Joe Miller, Charlie Lindberg and Bennett Soderberg scored all five goals to comeback and beat the Buckeyes 5-3. Tied 3-3 in the second half, Soderberg knocked a Buckeyes clearing attempt out of the air and flushed into the net for the GWG.
