On October 16 and 17 - 2004 birth year players from all over the upper Midwest are invited to try out for the Great Plains team that will participate in The Triple Crown of Hockey in Montreal, Quebec. The Triple Crown will be played June 18 to 24 in Quebec. The weeklong event will feature the top 2004 players from all over North America competing for province or area bragging rights.

Friedman is a well known hockey trainer/coach and the Director of Hockey for DHI Minnesota. Murphy is the coach of the defending Bantam AA Minnetonka Skippers. Both Friedman and Murphy were Head Coaches the past Summer in the Bantam Elite League. Tryouts will be evaluated by independent coaches from the area and the Great Plains Coaching Staff/Management team.
