Moorhead D-Man leads Spuds to VFW title and amazing run at youth state

Ethan Frisch, Moorhead

Ethan Frisch was named the 2016 YHH Bantam Player of the Year on Wednesday's Ten Minutes with Tony Scott. Frisch was a leader the last two years on Moorhead's great run at the Bantam level in 2015 and 2016.  The Spuds finished third in 2015 and this year took second in state and then won the VFW state title on home ice to cap off Frisch's youth career. Frisch is an imposing player who is one of the best skaters and puck handlers Minnesota has seen in a long time.

Moorhead coach Dale Lund told YHH that, "Ethan's work ethic and character, on and off the ice, is what sets him apart from everyone else." Frisch joins a nice list of past Player of the Year winners Ryan Zuhlsdorf (Edina, 2013), Casey Mittelstadt (Eden Prairie, 2014) and Gavin Hain (Grand Rapids, 2015). Frisch was voted the winner by a panel of 10 YHH selected Bantam AA coaches from around Minnesota.
