Championship Sunday kicked off with the Intermediate Mite Division, and the high-scoring Ice Hawks continued their winning ways, claiming the title with a 16-13 win over Team Warrior. 

Eric Gelhar scored a game-high seven goals for the Ice Hawks, and Drew Mamer added four goals to lead the Ice Hawks to victory. Blake Bentz led Team Warrior in scoring with four goals. 

In the Advanced Mite Division, Easton Bahn scored five goals to pace the Li’l Rascals to a thrilling 16-13 win over Team Warrior in the finals. 

Li’l Rascals goaltender Nate Larson was named Player of the Game, holding the dangerous Warrior team to its second-lowest goal total of the tournament. The win was the second for the Li’l Rascals over Team Warrior during the Spooktacular. 

Hat Trick-or-Treat scored six unanswered goals to pull away from The Skateful Dead in the Squirt Division championship and emerge with a 11-7 win. 

Isaac Webb and Trey Henderson each scored three goals for Hat Trick-or-Treat, while The Skateful Dead had seven different scorers. 

Like the Advanced Mite Division, the Squirt title game came down to goaltending, and Hat Trick-or-Treat’s Gabe Otis was named Most Valuable Player for his performance between the pipes.

Team Warrior edged The Great Pumpkins 14-13 to claim third place in the Squirt Division, led by  Blake Anderson and Josh Toll, who each scored three goals in the win.  

Throughout the Spooktacular, the player were treated to opening skates with fog, a light show, and high-class introductions. 

The facility offers a top-notch staff, excellent dryland equipment, and has a restaurant on site for easy meals between games and convenience for families.

The next tournament to be hosted by The Pond will be the New Year's Challenge, featuring teams at the levels of Mini-Mite, Intermediate Mite, Advanced Mite, Squirt and Peewee.
