Buffalo Freshman grabs coveted prize as state's top Bantam

Jake Braccini, Buffalo

Best player, even better person

Jake Braccini was named the 2017 YHH Bantam Player of the Year on Friday's Ten Minutes with Tony Scott. Braccini had an unbelievable year scoring 140 total points leading Buffalo to a great season in which the Bison were able to beat several top ten teams and win the Moorhead Spudtacular which included beating Grand Forks, Andover and Moorhead all in within a two day span.

What stood out most while preparing Jake for his interview was how much he cared for his twin brother and linemate Tyler. He said that there is no way it would be possible to reach the level he's reached without him. He said, "having twin like Tyler has been awesome."

Braccini joins a nice list of past Player of the Year winners Ryan Zuhlsdorf (Edina, 2013), Casey Mittelstadt (Eden Prairie, 2014) Gavin Hain (Grand Rapids, 2015) and Ethan Frisch (Moorhead, 2016). Braccini was voted the winner by a panel of 10 YHH selected Bantam AA coaches from around Minnesota.
