The Jr. Knights had already scored a win over Blue Star in the opening game of Pool Play and made their way to the championship with a 7-1 win over Ice Edge Elite in the de facto semifinals despite a 7-3 loss to New Generation in the previous game.
The Wisconsin Selects faced virtually challenge on its march to the 2005 Invite Division title, outscoring opponents 24-4 in four games.
An opening round 7-0 win over the Dakota Thunder was followed by wins over the Minnesota Mavericks and Machine Black by scores of 8-1 and 5-1 respectively.
The Selects edged Magicians Red 4-2 in the final.
