Elk River will be one of eight teams competing in the Hockey for Life Classic.
The Lights Shine Brighter in Prior Lake
The Youth Hockey Hub, partnered with Tradition Companies, is proud to announce that from Dec. 28-30, some of the top high school hockey talent in the state will compete at the Dakotah! Ice Center in Prior Lake in the first edition of the Hockey For Life Classic.
The concept of Hockey For Life focuses on the role of hockey as a character-building platform and as a tool for sharpening skills that translate to success both on and off the ice.
It is not about your agility, your playing time, or the number of goals you score. It is being fueled by the right purpose, guided by the right intention and formed by the right values. That’s a winning combination, not only for hockey but also for life.
Teams competing in the Classic include Benilde-St. Margaret’s, Chaska, Elk River, Holy Family Catholic, Lakeville North, Prior Lake, Stillwater and 2017 Class 2A state runner-up Moorhead.
The tournament format will be round-robin with each team playing three games over the weekend. In addition to the varsity action, there will also be a Junior Varsity slate for each team competing.
