Jack Perbix of Elk River was rated as a possible fourth round pick.

All players who will be 18 years old on or before September 15 and not older than 20 years old before December 31 of the draft year are eligible for selection for that year's NHL Entry Draft. In addition, non-North American players over the age of 20 are eligible.

Bear this in mind while perusing the most recent NHL Central Scouting Preseason Watchlist.

Several prominent names from a talented 2000 birth year seem to be missing from the service's first hint at who could be drafted in this summer in Dallas, but if you're searching for a Brinkman, a Donovan, or a Frisch, rest easy knowing that their absence is based on birth dates and not voluntary scouting omissions.

There are a total of 18 players listed by Central Scouting hailing from Minnesota, with three players securing "B" ratings, indicating that they are potential second-round picks. The remaining 15 players listed received "C" ratings, meaning scouts believe they are potential picks in the third, fourth, fifth, or sixth rounders.

With the absence of an "A" rated player, Central Scouting presumes that at this point in time that Minnesota does not feature a projected first-round pick. If that prediction comes to fruition, it would be just the fourth time in the last ten drafts that a Minnesota native was not selected in the first round.

Seven players believed to be returning to the high school ranks were listed, with Grand Rapids forward Blake McLaughlin garnering the highest rating as a "B" prospect.
