Osseo-Maple Grove Black earned a place in the semifinals with a pair of wins on Saturday.

Semifinal Matchups Set Entering Sunday

A stacked and staggered Bantam B field shook itself out on Saturday, with four teams earning spots in Sunday morning's semifinal round.

The Lake Conference will be well-represented in the semifinals, with Minnetonka Black and both Edina White and Edina Green advancing out of pool play. Joining the Lake Conference contingent will be Osseo-Maple Grove.

Minnetonka is the only team to make the semifinals with a record unblemished by a loss or tie, as the Skippers have skated to a perfect 3-0-0 record. The Skippers have yet to surrender a goal, winning each game by identical 5-0 scores. Forwards Casey Miller and Matthew Kelly have been the primary catalysts of the Skippers' offensive production. Miller leads all scorers with eight total points, while Kelly has five goals in three games.

Edina White has only surrendered one goal through three games, and Osseo-Maple Grove continues the trend of strong defense, having allowed just two goals. Keep an eye on Jonny Schieffert of Edina White, who currently ranks second in the Bantam division with four goals and six points. Chayton Fischer leads Osseo-Maple Grove in scoring with three goals and five points.

Edina Green enters the semifinal round having been outscored 7-6 during pool play and draws its inter-association rival Edina White in the semifinals.

Minnetonka will face Osseo-Maple Grove in the other semifinal.

Osseo-Maple Grove celebrates its 2-1 win over Rosemount on Saturday.

Finn Jacques and Kaleb Hurd played key roles as Lakeville North held off Mahtomedi in a 3-2 win.

Derek Manisto makes one of his numerous saves as Prior Lake salvaged a tie against Woodbury Black.

Chayton Fischer has three goals and five points for Osseo-Maple Grove.

STMA players congratulate Dominic Neutgens after his stellar defensive play in the waning moments of the win over Rosemount.
