Max Vonklinggraeff (3) scores one of his two goals for Edina Green in Sunday's championship win over Edina White.

A four-goal second period enabled Edina Green to shut out Edina White 4-0 in the finals of The Gobbler Peewee B tournament.

Max Vonklinggraeff scored twice to lead the Hornets to victory, earning Most Valuable Player honors in the process. Vonklinggraeff totaled 8 goals in the four games the Hornets played.

Johnny Warpinski started the scoring early in the second frame for Edina Green, and Silas Bowman scored midway through the period to supplement Vonklinggraeff's goals.

Defensively, Edina Green goaltender Robby Hoyt shut down a talented Edina White attack to earn the clean sheet.

Quinn Georgen not only backstopped Minnetonka to The Gobbler Bantam B title, he wrote himself into Youth Hockey Hub history.

In five games, Georgen pitched five shutouts. Five clean sheets. Five donuts.

His best work came in the championship game on Sunday night, where he blanked Edina White 4-0, denying a talented squad that had totaled 11 goals through the tournament the satisfaction of tickling the twine.

Georgen's offense also showed up to play in the title game, scoring once in each period to secure the win. Matthew Kelly scored in the first period, Trevor Kamps in the second and Casey Miller in the third for the Skippers. Miller ends The Gobbler as the tournament's leading scorer with four goals and 11 points.
