For four days in late March, some of the state's best players come together and don the red, white, gold, and blue, all competing under the banner of the Stars of Tomorrow.

The teams, consisting of boys players from age groups 2004-2009 and girls' age groups for 2004, 2005, and 2006 birth years, are split into North, South, East, and West. The players are divided by the Minnesota Hockey districts as follows:

  • East = District 2, 8 and 9
  • West = District 3, 4, 5 and 10
  • South = District 6
  • North = District 11, 12, 15, and 16

The teams are stocked with talented players, making for a highly entertaining weekend of hockey, played this year at Braemar Ice Arena in Edina.

Each of the four team in their respective age group are guaranteed four games, with three of those coming during pool play and then as a championship game of third-place game.

Girls

The Stars of Tomorrow has extended its girls' division to three age groups, setting the stage for a fantastic tournament on both sides of the puck with 2004, 2005, and 2006 age groups representing the girls' side.

The '06 Team North appears to have a loaded roster, with several names jumping out due to impressive performances during last year's Peewee Challenge, like Kate Kosobud who scored the pivotal shootout goal in the PWC final.
