Boys Recaps (2004-2006)

’04 East will meet ’04 West in Sunday’s title game for the 2004 Division, as both teams enter the final day of the tournament with identical 2-1 records after ’04 West fell to ’04 North late on Saturday night. ’04 East features the two leading scorers in the division, Isaac Howard, and Ty Tuccitto, who have totaled seven and five points respectively. Lining up for ’04 West will be Josh Giuliani, who is tied with Tuccitto with five points. Carter Krenke of ’04 South has also recorded five points and will lead his team against ’04 North in the third-place game on Sunday. ’04 North’s leading scorer is Will Schumacher and Matthew Filippi, each with four points. 

High-flying ’05 East takes its place in Sunday’s championship game against ’05 South after ’05 South edged ’05 North in tiebreakers. Oliver Moore leads ’05 East into the final with six goals and eight points, followed by Jake Fisher and William Whitelaw with five points and four points respectively. Pacing ’05 South in scoring is Beckett Hendrickson with two goals and five points. ’05 North’s Aaron Reierson leads his team into the third-place game with three goals and four points, while Cooper Conway and Austin Burnevik lead ’05 West with five points apiece.   

A three-way tie added a dose of spice to the 2006 Division, with ’06 East and ’06 North emerging as the top teams in the pool due to tiebreakers. Michael Mathison paces ’06 North with three goals and five points, leading a team that suffered its only loss on Saturday night. Leading ’06 East in scoring entering Sunday is Brody Dustin with four goals and seven points.  ’06 North scored a win over ’06 East earlier in the tournament. ’06 West and ’06 South will face off in the third-place game. ’06 South’s Joey Kubas will be the leading scorer between the teams entering Sunday with three goals and five points.

Boys Recaps (2007-2009)

The stage is set for the 2007 Division, as ’07 East and ’07 South will battle for the title after going 3-0 and 2-1 respectively during pool play. ’07 South picked up wins over ’07 North (6-2) and ’07 West on Saturday and polished off pool play by outscoring three opponents 22-7. Bryce Wiitala leads ’07 East with five goals and eight points, while ’07 South’s offense is propelled by Finn Zaruba and Gavin McNeil, both with six total points. ’07 West and leading scorer Mason Jenson (5-1-6) will take on ’07 North in the third-place game. ’07 North’s leading scorer through three games is Tyden Bergeson with a goal and an assist. 

In the 2008 Division, ’08 South takes its place in the championship with a record of 2-0-1, joined by ’08 East with a 2-1 mark. Cole Bumgarner leads ’08 South with two goals and eight points, followed by Aiden Lavigne with five goals and six points. Leading ’08 East in scoring are Hunter Boeckmann with seven goals and eight points and Riley Zupfer with two goals and six points. ’08 North and ’08 West match in the third-place game with identical 0-2-1 records. Zac Zimmerman leads ’08 North with four goals and six points, while Jay Anderson paces ’08 West with two goals and four points. 

’09 East will take on ’09 West in the finals, with the undefeated ’09 East taking the top spot after pool play with a record of 3-0.’09 East outscored its opponents 26-5, largely behind the play of Hank Hughes, who leads the team in points with eight, and Fin Heithoff, who leads the group in goals with five. Carter Milless paces ’09 West with four goals, as his team skated to the finals with a 2-1 record in pool play. 1-2 ’09 South and 0-3 ’09 North square off in the third-place game, with ’09 South’s leading scorers Gavin Sattler (five goals) and Connor DeBoer (3-2-5) pacing their team while facing ’09 North’s leader Anton Klint (1-1-2).

Boys Box Scores (2007-2009)

Girls Recaps

Undefeated and un-scored on, ’04 West cruises into the 2004 Division finals with a perfect 3-0 record and have outscored opponents 20-0. Maddy Brown leads the team with two goals and eight points, and Katerine Bell with three goals and seven points.’04 South meets ’04 West in the finals, paced by Maddy Helmstetter and her three goals. In the third-place game, ’04 East (1-2) meets ’04 North (0-2-1), with Meredith Boettcher the leading scorer between the teams entering the game with four goals.

’05 West enters Sunday’s title game with a record of 3-0, handily outscoring its opponents 20-2. Alexa Hanrahan leads ’05 West with two goals and seven points, with Justice Ohlgren and Myah Krueger following with five points each. ’05 South’s Madisyn Krumholz leads her team into the finals with three goals and five points, with three players following with four points each. ’05 East and ’05 North meet in the third-place game, with ’05 East’s Lily Fetch leading both teams with three goals. 

Kendra Distad leads all skaters on the girls’ side of the tournament with eight goals and 10 points, and her ’06 South squad breezes into Sunday’s final undefeated. ’06 South will duel with ’06 West, whose two wins on Saturday propelled them into the title game. Leading ’06 West in scoring is Allison Gfroerer with two goals and five points. In the third-place game, ’06 North faces ’06 East, a game that features Izy Fairchild and Samantha Peterson, who will be the high-scorers entering Sunday with three points each.
