Edina forward Sammy Walker was named the school's first Mr. Hockey after racking up 35 goals and 79 points this season.

Through for years as a member of the Edina varsity, Sammy Walker has grown and improved. And improved, and improved, and improved.

After entering the lineup as a freshman who posted season totals of five goals and nine points as a supporting character on the Hornets’ third-place team during the 2014-2015 season, Walker stepped into a primary scoring role. Walker’s season totals climbed from 38 to 52, to 79, with his senior season garnering him All-State honors as well as being named the program’s first Mr. Hockey Award winner.

Already an NHL Draft pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning, the exceptionally speedy Walker is committed to the University of Minnesota.
