Moving Day

The Masters has its Moving Day...it is Saturday. The Brick has its own version of the shuffling. It's Thursday. The day before the teams clinch a berth to the playoffs. In some ways, the players/teams with hope get hashed out a day in advance.

On Thursday, many teams met their fate...more on the bad side than good.  As for the good, look no farther than "The Six" for the teams atop both conferences. Toronto teams (Bulldogs and Pro Hockey) are both undefeated. Pro Hockey ran out to a four-goal lead on the once undefeated Connecticut Junior Rangers and went on to a 7-3 win. The Bulldogs took down the pesky Chicago Junior Blackhawks 5-2. Both teams are on a collision course to meet in the Sunday morning finals.

As for the rest of the teams knocking on heaven's door. Manitoba beat Western Selects. The Jets need a win regulation win over Boston Friday to clinch a spot in the playoffs. Jaxon Jacobson has been the most valuable player in the tournament carrying the Jets on his back at times Thursday in the win. One fan told YHH, "that number nine for Manitoba is the man."
