This One's for The Six

The worst thing that can happen is when a team travels a long way for an event and find themselves playing a team from their backyard. In most cases, it is a bad thing. In the case of the Brick and the two storied franchises, Toronto Pro Hockey and Toronto Bulldogs - it is a really good thing.

Both teams have no love loss for each other. They compete for the best of the best Toronto has to offer. Each year, both excel at the Brick. This year will mark the fourth time in five years a winner from the 416 area code will take the Brick championship. For one of these two teams, nothing will be sweeter to win the Brick, but do it against their biggest rival makes it even better.

Ben Bowen, Toronto Pro

Tony's Top 3

1. Tyus Sparks, BC Jr. Canucks - ate his Wheaties Saturday morning. Had a pair of goals against Manitoba and then had another goal against the Bulldogs. A true specimen of athletic talent.

2. Ben Bowen, Toronto Pro - dominated the greasy areas, was productive on the scoresheet.

3. Beckham Edwards, Toronto Bulldogs - arguably the best player in the Brick. A great talent who skates very well and seems to always be in the right place at the right time.

Prediction

Toronto Pro has been utterly dominant this week.  They have not had one, one-goal game. They have two great lines up front - four solid defenders and have had great goaltending. The Bulldogs have had virtually the same score differential as their Toronto neighbors. The difference is the Dawgs have been challenged and have responded. They also have The Brick's best player in Beckham Edwards. Edwards can take over a game.
