An Ode To Champions

Each year, the Peewee Challenge celebrates hockey's heritage by creating vintage uniforms, dedicated to a specific subset of teams. Last year, high schools that no longer exist took center stage, schools like Duluth Central, St. Paul Kellogg, and Minneapolis West.

This weekend, the uniform theme focuses on past state champions, ranging from the very long ago (Minneapolis Southwest), to the very recent (Grand Rapids). From programs with just one title (Rochester John Marshall) to programs with more state championship rings than fingers (Edina).

Filling these uniforms will be the best Peewee-aged players from across the state, with Major and Minor Divisions for both boys and girls. With a total of 20 teams competing, the talent on the ice is sure to wear those time-honored jerseys proudly.
