Motown Classic

2006 Division

The Mississauga Senators earned the 2006 Peewee Major title in Detroit, edging the Toronto Jr. Canadians 4-2 in the championship game. The final four featured three Canadian teams and just one team from the U.S., the Middlesex Islanders. The Senators rocketed to a 6-0 record on the weekend, outscoring opponents 29-6, and are currently ranked No. 1 in the Ontario province by MyHockeyRankings.

2008 Division

The 2008 Squirt Major Division came down to an all-Windy City final, with the Chicago Young Americans taking on the Chicago Fury. The Fury came out on top 3-2, with the two goals being the most allowed in a game by the Fury, as the team outscored its six opponents 32-5. Joining the Chicago teams in the final four were the Chicago Mission and Detroit Honeybaked.   The tourney win for the Fury sets the tone for the entire Fury organization, which has been down the last few years at the highest levels of Tier 1 hockey.
