Edina White PWB celebrates after scoring a goal on Sunday during The Gobbler.
The third annual Gobbler, played each year at historic Bloomington Ice Garden, came to a close on Sunday evening with championship crowns being awarded to Osseo-Maple Grove Peewee B and Minnetonka Bantam B.
The Leafbirds captured their first Gobbler title with a 4-1 win over Minnetonka, dashing the Skippers' hopes of cashing in on two laps with the championship trophy. Jacob Sawicky, Lukas Bakke, Eli Larson, and Brady Aubut each scored once in the win for the Leafbirds. Winston Wheaton scored the lone goal of the loss for the Skippers.
In the Bantam B final, Minnetonka emerged victorious after edging Edina Green 2-1, with Harrison Browning scoring the game-winning goal with less than four minutes remaining in regulation. Jack Sand scored the first goal for the Skippers, and Lucas Cole had the goal for the Hornets.
Harrison Browning scored the game-winning goal for Minnetonka Bantam B last Sunday.
