MPH speeds past Misfits 17-11 for NYC title


Daylin Cline netted five goals for MPH Friday in their NYC win in Rosemount

The 2007 MPH boys picked up where they left off at the AAA State Tournament sweeping the field with an impressive 5-0 record this week at the New Year's Challenge. Saturday they whipped the Sartell Daggers 36-5. Bloomington standout goalie Owen Lunneborg stopped everything but the kitchen sink. 

In the championship, tourney MVP Gabe Perron took over the game with his passing and scoring. The Bloomington defenseman had three goals and bunch of great set ups. The Misfits battled hard, they got four goals from Keegan Davis. The orange-helmeted agitator had four goals for the Misfits.

The Snoops dog out Grinch Gang to claim NYC


Reed Smith scored 10 goals Friday for Snoop

Snoop exacted some revenge on Grinch Gang Friday 16-12 to grab the New Year's Challenge title in Rosemount at The Pond. Reed Smith had ten goals, yes ten goals for Snoop in the win. After losing 17-8 Thursday to Grinch, the Snoops came to play Friday. Pressuring Grinch and taking advantage of their opportunities, Snoop was lead by Smith and tourney MVP Jackson Meier who had five tallies and some great two-way play. The Grinch were lead by Brenden Clemens who had nine goals for the fast skating and competitive squad.


Jackson Meier had 5G for Snoop and was chosen MVP.
