Youth Hockey Hub and Summit Orthopedics have teamed up to offer a brand new and very exciting award this 2024-2025 hockey season! The Summit Service Award. The ideal candidate for the Summit Service Award is a high school aged hockey player, 16 or older, boy or girl, who plays at any level and is a standout in the way that they serve either their community, team, or peers. You may either apply yourself or nominate another individual who you feel exemplifies what it means to be a service leader.
Deadlines for nominations or applications is February 1, 2025.
The Summit Service Award is intended to recognize high school-aged hockey players who are making a difference in their community, by caring, by volunteering, by overcoming adversity, by raising awareness of a particular issue, or by organizing an event that has improved a group’s quality of life. This is exemplified by high moral standards, a cooperative attitude with community leaders, and demonstrated service to others.

Two recipients, one boy and one girl, will be awarded the 2024-2025 Summit Service Award. Both will receive a personalized jersey presented with a recitation of achievement via a Youth Hockey Hub media platform. Each recipient will also have the opportunity to attend the August 2025 Summit Orthopedics medical brigade trip to One World Surgery, at no charge. Summit Orthopedics will cover all registration, airline and lodging costs (valued at $2200 pp).
