Some fantastic play Friday in Blaine - some expected outcomes and some huge surprises. Sibley, the third seed behind top ten Edina (White) and Moorhead, flipped the script  and beat them both to advance to the Quarterfinals! Tourney favorite Osseo Maple Grove won their two games Friday outscoring their opponents 16-0. Both the Zephyrs and Leafbirds have already punched a ticket to the quarters.

Saturday will be a fun day...pool play will conclude with most pools wrapping up with the top two seeds playing for a shot at the final 8 Saturday night. 

Some top games on Saturday morning to keep an eye on for a right to play Saturday night:

• Mahtomedi and Edina Green play for all the marbles...these two teams are running on all cylinders. 
• CC and STMA square off in the acronym bowl.
• Stillwater and Rochester are both undefeated and neither have been tested yet..should be a great game.
• Andover has to knock off Orono to clinch a spot in bracket play.
• Woodbury and White Bear Lake face off - the Preds are undefeated and the Bears have a tie. Should be a good east side battle.

And earning its own billing is Pool E. Both games in the morning matter - Champlin and Rosemount play after Madison and Minnetonka battle. After head to head, Goals Allowed is the first tiebreaker. Currently - Madison, Minnetonka and Rosemount all have a shot at glory. Oddsmakers would say Minnetonka has a very slight edge heading into Saturday.
