FULL SEMIFINAL COVERAGE FROM AROUND THE STATE

Saturday Best of.....

Andover 15A (pictured) and 12A are shooting for state titles Sunday

Best Association - Edina...Hornets are shooting for five of the nine title games we will cover tomorrow. OMG is one back with four....Andover is only other with more than one (15A and 12A).

Best Rink at 3:02 pm - Fogarty, Blaine....at about the top of the hour, both Edina and Woodbury tie their opponents to send game to overtime. A few minutes later Edina beat Mound Westonka and Woodbury lost to Chaska Chan. Both were great finishes.

Best Imitation Line Brawl - Blaine/WBL Bantam AA - five players from each team sent to box after late game skirmish.

Best Text - "When are you going to learn not to pick against OMG"...from anonymous.

Best Upset - OMG  over Edina, 15A - Edina had lost only one game and given up less than 30 goals all year. Their only loss? To OMG. Loss number two came Saturday in overtime.

Best Line - Woodbury PWAA (22, 26, 5)...a fearsome threesome of Power (Drew Fisher), Skill (Dylan Godbout) and Aggression (Gabe Rasmussen. A treat to watch all year.

Best Comeback - Wayzata (Blue) 12B....Trojans came back from 3-0 deficit to beat Inver Grove Heights, 4-3.

Best Rink - Marshall...hands down the coolest facility to host an event in a long time. Cameras, instant replay, sound, etc.

Best Last Second Goal (tie) - Gabe Rasmussen (Woodbury) Ben Skreen (MAML) and Noah Tussey (Stillwater)...Rasmussen tied their game with :14 left , Skreen with :09 left and Tussey with :07 left!!!

Best Celly - Cam Shoberg, Blaine...dragged enough ice post goal to build a sno-cone.
