It's now or never

The section playoffs started in earnest Thursday night, with 30+ games on tap all over Minnesota. With each team focused on one goal...the Xcel Energy Center. Not a lot of surprises, but a few near misses from the upset Monster.

Near Misses

Apple  Valley - the more experienced Eagles hung tough with the young guns of Rosemount.

Minnehaha Academy - the sixth seed had their chances Thursday.

Rochester Mayo - the Spartans took Lakeville South to the brink losing in OT.

Jefferson - the seventh seeded Jags played 21 win Eastview tough all the way to the end

Possibly the biggest surprises came in the 4/5 seed games. Chaska beat Eden Prairie in Overtime.  And, Rochester Lourdes knocked off Mankato West to advance to Saturday's semifinals in Rochester.
