Great Plains 2, Team Manitoba 1

With 2:07 to play in Saturday's North American Hockey Showcase championship game, Team Manitoba sliced Great Plains' 2-0 lead in half to 2-1.

At that moment, arguably the deepest team in the tournament had gotten on the board with time to spare, and seemed primed for a flurry of activity in the Great Plains zone and a game-tying goal within reach.

However, Cash Cruitt and the Great Plains defense began a rejection spree, halting Manitoba's momentum and claiming the organization's first Show title. Cruitt finished with 22 saves on 23 shots, with both of Great Plains' goals coming from Tournament MVP and All-Tournament Team member Dylan Dean. Dean finished the tournament with 13 goals and 19 total points, tops in the tournament field. Great Plains won nine straight games over the course of the week while outscoring opponents 64-25.

Adam Kelly scored Manitoba's lone goal of the championship game. The Manitobans concluded The Show 2019 with a record of 7-1-0-1, with both losses coming by one goal against Great Plains. Kash Alger-East led Manitoba with 14 total points, followed by Grayson Slaney with 12.

In the Wicked Rags All-Star Game preceding the championship game, the Kennedy Conference downed the Jefferson Conference 6-4, as Jefferson pulled its goaltender with the scored tied at 4-4 in the third period. The Jefferson Conference needed a full three points for a regulation win to top Kennedy in the overall conference standings. Team International's Lincoln Ayers-Assad was named Player of the Game with two goals.

Team West's Landon Schweitzer suited up for Kennedy in The Show 2019's All-Star Game.
