Eli Miller fires a shot for the Penguins Friday in the Bantam Elite League

It was a shootout kind of night

The sixth edition of the Bantam Elite League kicked off Friday at the home of the BEL in Mendota Heights - MAP South. Fans of the league saw two shootouts and one Shoot-Out. The final game of the night didn't go to over time, but it did provide for some great entertainment.

In game one, the Sharks powered by Devin Cardenas and Tommy Cronin's two goals cruised by the Kings 6-1. Carson Musser and Mac Weasler turned away 27 shots in the win for the Sharks.

Games two and three went an extra frame with the Penguins and Bolts grabbing the extra point in the standings. Cooper Conway got the winner for the Penguins after they coughed up four goals in the second half to the upstart Rangers. Tyler Grahame got the winner for the Bolts, as they knocked of the very solid North Dakota team.

In the nightcap, team Wisconsin made the biggest statement of the day beating the consensus league favorite North Stars Friday night with a 7-5 win. Quinn Finley had a hat trick to lead his team (and the league) in scoring.
