Moorhead and Monticello are new in the rankings this week at nine and ten, respectively. Commentary

Armstrong Cooper is number one for two levels in Bantam- Bantam A and Bantam B. This is a sign of some future success at the high school program likely for Armstrong Cooper. Edina Green moves to the number two spot: the Hornets have won the last eight games played. No. 3 Bloomington Jefferson picked up a huge district win this past week beating No. 5 Prior Lake 4-1. Wayzata White enters the rankings, and a win over previous No. 6 Forest Lake propels the Trojans to No. 7. Minnetonka is the fifth district 6 team ranked, the Skippers won the Rochester tournament this weekend.

Speaking of the Stormhawks. They have won seven of their last eight including two wins over Edina and wins over Andover and OMG.

Only a few losses this week in the top-10. STMA takes down Moorhead Red and one-loss Blaine beats Andover.

No major shakeup.

However, a few teams outside the T10 have started to pick up some steam. Warroad picked up four wins last weekend and Minnetonka beat Edina Green.

Rank Team League Last Week
1 Wayzata Lake WTT
2 Minnetonka Lake TTTT
3 Edina Lake WTT
4 Osseo/Maple Grove NW Suburban W
5 Stillwater Suburban East WLL

Commentary

Wayzata, Minnetonka, and Edina are all undefeated in the JGA; these three teams are the JGA's perennial powerhouses. Osseo/Maple Grove is the next-best team, followed by Stillwater. The big story at this level is which of the Trojans, Skippers, and Hornets will win state.

Junior Gold B

Rank Team League Last Week
1 Moorhead Mariucci DNP
2 Hill-Murray Metro East WWW
3 Prior Lake South Suburban TWTW
4 Elk River (Black) Nortwest Suburban WW
5 Shakopee (Red) South Suburban W

Commentary

Moorhead beat Hill-Murray in last year's state tournament, and they are both looking like the top two contenders this year again. Edina Green is a team just outside the top five to watch out for for the rest of the season.
