Not much movement at the top. Top four teams stay the same. Rogers, White Bear and Rosemount all move up this week. The Irish win five straight and win the Play for Patrick tourney in Apple Valley.
Northfield is up to number three this week, and the Raiders have won 12 of their last 14 games. Rock Ridge is in the top five this week. The Wolverines had a huge win over Grand Rapids’ AA squad. Moorhead and Monticello are new in the rankings this week at nine and ten, respectively. Moorhead is a contender to move up quickly in the rankings; the Spuds are currently on an eight-game winning streak.
Edina White is #4 this week (pic: Oliver Marvin)

Armstrong Cooper is number one for two levels in Bantam- Bantam A and Bantam B. This is a sign of some future success at the high school program likely for Armstrong Cooper. Edina Green moves to the number two spot: the Hornets have won the last eight games played. No. 3 Bloomington Jefferson picked up a huge district win this past week beating No. 5 Prior Lake 4-1. Wayzata White enters the rankings, and a win over previous No. 6 Forest Lake propels the Trojans to No. 7. Minnetonka is the fifth district 6 team ranked, the Skippers won the Rochester tournament this weekend.
Andover climbs into the top-10 this week (pic: Greyson Bruneau)
|6||White Bear Lake||2||TL|
Nine of the top-10 remain the same this week. Andover joins the elite after winning nine out of their last 11 games. The Huskies only two losses in that stretch were to Moorhead and Chaska-Chan. Speaking of the Stormhawks. They have won seven of their last eight including two wins over Edina and wins over Andover and OMG.

Roseville keeps rolling, as they won the Rogers tournament this past weekend. Waconia is in the top five this week, at No. 5; the Wildcats had a solid week, beating district foe Edina. White Bear Lake upset previous No. 5 Mound Westonka; the Bears are ranked at No. 9 this week. Dodge County was the runner-up in the Owatonna tournament this past weekend, and the Wildcats are our No. 10 in the rankings.

There is a shocking result in the top ten, as previously unranked North Shore defeats previously ranked No. 1 Hermantown. North Shore gets boosted into the rankings at No. 10, in conjunction with this win. Moorhead (Black) is the new No. 1 at this level, and the Spuds are currently on a 10-game winning streak. Minneapolis (Black) is on fire currently, on a 10-game win streak, and beat No. 7 Roseville 3-2 in a shootout this past week.
#1 Woodbury keeps rolling in Squirt A
|4||Osseo Maple Grove (White)||3||WW|
Only a few losses this week in the top-10. STMA takes down Moorhead Red and one-loss Blaine beats Andover.
No major shakeup.
However, a few teams outside the T10 have started to pick up some steam. Warroad picked up four wins last weekend and Minnetonka beat Edina Green.
|6||Grand Rapids (White)||12||W|
Woodbury Black had a huge week, winning the Plymouth tournament, which puts them at No. 3 in our rankings. Grand Rapids White moves up four spots this week, and the Thunderhawks only have one loss on the season. Woodbury Royal is new this week to the SQB rankings; the Royals are outscoring opponents 75-17 and are on a six-game winning streak.
|4||Osseo/Maple Grove||NW Suburban||W|
Wayzata, Minnetonka, and Edina are all undefeated in the JGA; these three teams are the JGA's perennial powerhouses. Osseo/Maple Grove is the next-best team, followed by Stillwater. The big story at this level is which of the Trojans, Skippers, and Hornets will win state.
|3||Prior Lake||South Suburban||TWTW|
|4||Elk River (Black)||Nortwest Suburban||WW|
|5||Shakopee (Red)||South Suburban||W|
Moorhead beat Hill-Murray in last year's state tournament, and they are both looking like the top two contenders this year again. Edina Green is a team just outside the top five to watch out for for the rest of the season.
