Day 2 is Twice As Nice

Gopher forward Mason Nevers was very comfortable on the diamond Tuesday AM

A very eventful day on the campus of the University of Minnesota for the top 7th graders in the state. Both boys and girls got to learn from ex-Gopher players during a morning visit to campus from three alums. The girls met Paige Haley, a two-time champ, and the boys got to meet Jake Parenteau and Tom Serratore. Their stories were a perfect combination of inspiration and information. Each talked about their path to the University.

While the boys were skating with the Gopher men, the girls were playing kickball at the U's Track and Field complex inside of Athlete's Village and then after two hours, they flipped the switch.

The athletes enjoyed their time today at the U of M Track and Field facility!

The afternoon was crammed for the athletes. They had six mini-games and Gopher Jeopardy and Ridder Olympics. The YHH staffed stretched their minds and bodies with tough questions and athletic quests.

After two days of mini-games, the parity continues to rear its ugly head. No team has gone undefeated on either day in either division. Two teams each day have won their first two mini-games but failed to close in game three.
