Youth Hockey Hub, in direct partnership with the Bloomington Amateur Hockey Association sanctioned by Minnesota Hockey and USA Hockey will host the YHH Squirtacular in January at the Bloomington Ice Garden.
Last March, YHH hosted the very successful unsanctioned YHH Squirtacular Presented by DynaMoo. Last year’s Squirtacular A champion was a team from Osseo and Maple Grove. We expect their Squirt A team to be strong again this year and contend for another Squirtacular trophy. But don’t count out other strong teams next year like Andover, Eden Prairie, Elk River and White Bear Lake. YHH thinks the Bears will be the team to beat in Squirt A next season.
The event will be held January 14-20, with the Final Four held on Championship Monday (Martin Luther King Holiday). This year’s tournament will be held for A, B, and C teams.
Last year’s Bloomington Squirt A Tournament Champions, Rosemount Irish.
Tourney Details
Date: January 14-20, 2014 (out of state teams will be accommodated with weekend games)
Where: All games held at Bloomington Ice Garden, Bloomington, MN
A & B Format: 3 pool play games and half of the field advances to Bracket play
C Format: 8 team Bracket Play.
Cost: $995 (plus $400 gate fee)
Demand for this tournament will be very high, we expect teams that played in the Bloomington Squirt tournament last winter will return as will teams from our Squirtacular in March. Registration for the Squirtacular opens Friday, June 14. Go to http://www.bloomingtonhockey.com to register your team. Teams will be taken in the order they are received. Space is limited to 16 teams at the A and B level.
