Third part of a four part pictorial on the Class A Championship played Saturday afternoon at the Xcel. St. Thomas Academy beat Hermantown 5-4 to win the championship game. This part covers the second period.
Hermantown scored late in the second period to take a 4-2 lead into the third. A minute after STA scored to cut the Hawks lead to 3-2, Lane LeGarde scored this controversial goal crashing into the STA goalie.
