This season has been an exciting season to cover.  New levels of play with AA/A, a team from Rosemount potentially going undefeated in Squirt A, the Edina run in PWAA, Ten skaters from Brainerd nearly going undefeated in 10A…the list of great stories has been endless to report and to cover. But at the same time, there have been some oddities that we’ve uncovered as well.  Here are a few:

1. Jefferson PWAA playing in the District 6 semifinals, starts their second goalie in favor of one of the best goalies in the state.  Presumably to water down their chances of making it to the tougher East Region.

2. A man carrying a baby in his left hand and threatening to punch another man out with his right?

3. A Wayzata goalie in his Wayzata jersey playing for Minneapolis in the District 3 Championship game versus Orono.

4. Grown men and women not affiliated with a hockey event trading pins with 9 and 10 year old boys and girls.

5. High School goalie shooting puck into his own net to cost his team the game and then departing the ice with a 1 finger salute.
