Here is his first stab at Preview and Predictions for the The Lake Superior Bantam A Classic in Duluth.

Lake Superior Classic Bantam A

The Lake Superior Classic is a pool play tournament that starts December 20th. Out of the 4 pools, 4 teams are ranked in the top 15 in YHH's Now Rankings. The winner of this tournament will get a great treat, the championship trophy right before the holidays.

Fridays Pool Play Games

Duluth East vs Brainerd: Duluth East has great size on their squad with a 5-4-1 record. On the other side of the ice, the Warriors have great goaltending with a hard working group of kids. In this matchup I think DE will get the edge in a tough battling game.

Duluth Denfeld vs North Shore: Duluth Denfeld not having the start of the season they'd want to, but they have a tough team. They tied Superior, WI (another team in the tourney) in their last game so they will have some momentum coming into the tourney. North Shore has beat a tough Hermantown team this season, but lost twice to Superior and once to DE. They will be ready to play this game and will come out on top after three periods with a one goal win.

Hermantown vs Highland Central: Hermantown has a fast group of players who aren't afraid to shoot the puck. They have had 3 shutouts this year so far. Highland is ranked 15 on YHH and has had a good start to the season. They have beat some good teams this season and I think they will get another win over Hermantown on Friday.

Superior vs New Prague:  Superior (WI) is going to come to "Minnesota" ready to play. At 7-1-1 this season, they are going to shoot the puck and attack. New Prague is a hard working team that will be ready Friday night. Superior will outplay NP in the 3rd and come away with a one goal win.

Saturday Pool Play Games

Duluth East vs New Ulm: New Ulm will come out in the morning with the sticks ready to go. New Ulm will fight all the way till' the final buzzer. New Ulm will take the win by 3 goals.

Duluth Denfeld vs Orono: Orono is ranked 6th in the YHH Rankings and is a physical team. These 2 teams faced off earlier in the season and Orono won 8-1. This game will go to Orono once again and will lead the series between these two teams 2-0.

Hermantown vs OMG: OMG is ranked 10th in the system and has came to play this season. Beating tough teams this season, OMG will add one more "W" to the win column vs Hermantown.

Moorhead vs Superior: Moorhead has had a good start of the season going 6-1-1 vs MN teams and finding 10th place in the YHH standings. They lost to Alexandria but have beat DE and Brainerd. Moorhead will come ready to take on Superior and will get the edge in a close game.

Brainerd vs New Ulm: New Ulm will be a tough challenge for Brainerd but it will be a little too tough for them as NU will win by 2 goals.

North Shore vs Orono: Orono will have their second game about seven hours after their first and will be hunting for another win. North Shore will be fully charged and ready to play a tough team. Orono will come out with the win.

Highland Central vs OMG: This will be a very good game as both teams are great. Highland Central will get all the shots possible and take the win.

New Prague vs Moorhead: The last game Saturday will be between these 2 teams. Moorhead will be ready and come away with the win.
