YHH's Teams To Watch Catches Up With Some MN's Best Players & Asks What They Love About Hockey

Many players in Minnesota have different favorite moments and memories that they can make with their team. From the rink to the hotels, players love being with their second family, also known as their team. Some of the top players in Bantam hockey in Minnesota speak about what their favorite part of the game is....

Jax Murray (Elk River BAA) - "My favorite thing about hockey is setting up a nice passing play resulting in a goal or scoring the go ahead goal."  Jax is one of the leaders this year on Elk River's top ranked team.

Clayton Phillips (Edina BAA)- "The thing I like about hockey is getting nice assists and huge hits." Clayton uses his size to lay out big hits to his opponents and also uses it to play great defense for his team. 

Griffin Ness (Wayzata BAA) - "The greatest part of the game is going through the line after scoring a goal." Mr. Ness scores a lot of goals for Wayzata BAA and also for his summer team, the Minnesota Blades '99.

Luke LaMaster (Duluth East BAA) - "The friendships you make while playing this great sport is probably the best thing about hockey." Luke plays center for his BAA team. He will play for the Rangers in the Bantam Elite League coming this Summer.

Connor Bizal (Elk River BAA) - "My favorite thing is playing with your best friends and brothers all the way till' the end of the season." Connor is a wing for his awesome BAA team this year. Bizal's team only has two losses all season.

Tyler Madden (Edina BAA) - "The best thing about hockey is competing hard every time you hit the ice."  Tyler is one of a few first year players on the BAA team for Edina. Ty plays wing for the Hornets.

Lucas McGregor (Centennial BAA) - "The greatest thing is making the strong friendships and just being with the boys."  Lucas is a crafty winger for his squad. He plays an aggressive style of hockey.

Joey Stillings (Eastview BAA) - "Making a key play in a very close game like a big hit or blocking a shot that has a chance to go in." Joey is a defenseman for the Lightning.

Jack Bowman (Grand Rapids BAA) - "Stepping on to the ice in your home barn against a rival team."  Jack's team won the BAA Star of the North tourney last weekend. 

Austin Lasky (Hibbing BAA) - "My favorite part is winning big games and scoring big goals." Austin plays wing for the Bluejackets who went 4-0 on a city swing they took a couple of weekends ago. 

Jace Otremba (Lakeville South BAA) - "My favorite part of the game is the time you get to hang out and bond with your teammates." Jace is one of the centers on his LVS team. 

Matt Jungwirth (White Bear Lake BAA)- " Winning a big game and celebrating with your team." Matt is also a center and has a good shot. He moves the puck very well.

Joe Liberty (Duluth East BAA) - "The best part is playing on the outdoor rinks and cellying." Joe is a D-man for the Hounds. 

Marcus Darby (Stillwater BAA) - "Winning with the boys and the thrill of scoring." Marcus is on a great team who just knocked of ER on January 25. He plays center for the Ponies.

Micah Christ (Alexandria BA) - "The best part is when I celebrate with my team after a big win." Micah plays center and is the captain for the Cards.

Taiyo Larson (Elk River BAA) - "The team memories you have and the things you do in the locker room with your team. Also the way the team comes together when we are not playing well." Taiyo plays defense for the #1 ranked Elks.

Goalies are known as "goofy" people. Some goalies do crazy things that they like for the game of hockey. Here are some of the bantam goalies favorite thing about hockey. 

Brendan Corbin (Anoka BAA) - "My favorite part is getting a win and then getting to celebrate with the team." Brendan's team is on a hot-streak right now. He works for them and they work for him to get the wins together. 

Bob Parenteau (White Bear Lake BAA)- " Standing on my head to beat a very good team and also winning with the boys is a given." Bob is a brick wall for the Bears. He has posted some great games this year.

Ryan Ullan (Hibbing BAA)- "When it is a 3-2 nail biter game on who is going to win the game." Ryan is playing very well lately for his team. the Bluejackets are rising up in the standings rapidly. 

After reading these, some of you might be thinking about your favorite moment. Remember to cherish that amazing moment because you never know when you are going to lose that chance.
