Will EP be posing with the a White Bear on Sunday?

The Moose Goheen tournament starts on Thursday night. There are 12 teams in the Bantam AA tournament. Ten of these teams are in the top 20 in the YHH NOW Rankings. Here is how the pools lay out and my predictions for each pool:

Pool A

Max Jennrich looks to lead the host Bears to the Championship in White Bear

Burnsville, Minnetonka, White Bear Lake, and OMG. This pool is filled with some strong offensive teams. Minnetonka has beaten Burnsville once, tied OMG and has not yet played White Bear Lake. Burnsville has been playing some solid hockey lately. White Bear Lake has had some key wins lately, too, a big one over Eden Prairie, and will be a top team in this pool. After pool play, White Bear Lake and Minnetonka will be the teams that advances to the semi-finals because one of the pools will have two teams advance.

Pool B

Centennial, Duluth East, Edina, and Wayzata. This pool has one really strong team. They are the Trojans. Wayzata has been playing some top notch hockey lately. Wayzata beat Edina on the 25th of January, by a score of 3-2. They also beat Duluth East a couple weekends ago, scoring ten goals in that game. They also tied Centennial (4-4), so we can't rule Centennial out of this game. This pool will be a crazy one but Wayzata will advance.

Pool C

Anoka, Woodbury, Eden Prairie, Lakeville North. This pool has #2 Staff Ranked Eden Prairie in it. Eden Prairie will be a tough challenge for Woodbury and Anoka. Anoka has been playing very well lately though. Out of this pool, Eden Prairie will definitely advance.

Sunday

Can K'Andre Miller lead his team to the Moose Goheen Championship?

Semi-Finals:

Eden Prairie > Minnetonka (4-1)

Wayzata > OMG (3-2)

Championship

Eden Prairie > Wayzata (3-1) Eden Prairie will take home the Moose and stay number 2 in the YHH Staff Rankings with a win over the Trojans.

Can Anoka play their way into the Final 4?
