Ben Reddan and the StormHawks control their destiny to the D6 Maroon Bracket.
Heading into the final week of the District 6 Regular season, all eyes in District 6 are on the coveted final 4 spots to see who gains the Maroon Playoffs. The top two teams in the Maroon playoff, held this weekend head to New Hope for a Regional Playoff.
In Squirt A, six teams vie for the final four spots.
1. Shakopee - 37 pts. (Game vs. CC)
2. Edina Green - 37 pts. (Game vs. NP)
3. Edina White - 36 pts. (Game vs. EP)
4. Chaska Chan - 33 pts. (Game vs SHAK)
5. Prior Lake - 31 pts. (Game vs. JEFF)
6. Eden Prairie - 31 pts. (Game vs. Edina White)
*Jefferson has 2 games, 27 points...would need two wins and the loss of Fair Play Points and help from the Tie Breaker Gods to get into the T4.
Shakopee: The Sabers have 37 points with one game to go versus Chaska Chan. A win would clinch the #1 seed. A loss could drop them to as low as #3.
Edina Green: They are likely in with a win over New Prague. The #2 slot seems to be all theirs, unless Chaska Chan beats Shakopee, at that point they would be the #1
Edina White: The Whities go on the road to play Eden Prairie. The Eagles are likely stuck on the outside barring an upset over White and some help from the FPP Gods. If Edina Wins and Shakopee loses, they could take the #2 seed.
Chaska Chan: The StormHawks control their own destiny to the #4 seed. A win over Shakopee would get them #4, possibly higher.
Prior Lake: With a win over Jefferson and some help from Shakopee, the Lakers could sneak in as the #4 seed.
Minnetonka Black, Edina Black, and Edina Grey all look headed to Vicoria. Chaska Chan and PL Gold are neck and neck for spot #4. And guess what? They play Tuesday night. If CC can win and PL gets a Fair Play Point, both teams will end the season with 36 points...enter the Tie Breaker Gods to decide their fate. Any other result, Prior Lake will advance and CC will be off to the Gold Bracket in Bloomington.
AJ Doll and Edina Grey look to be a top team heading into Maroon Bracket of D6.
Edina Green has clinched a spot in the Maroon Bracket as the #1 seed. The last three spots are between 5 teams.
1. Edina White can lock down the #2 with a win over Kennedy/Richfield on Tuesday.
2. Minnetonka Blue - their game vs. CC Black is huge, the winner will get in the top 4, the loser goes home. A tie would throw a monkey wrench into matters greatly.
3. Chaska Chan Black - see above.
4. Edina Silver - a win over PL Navy gets them to 36 points. The Tie Breaker Gods never guarantee anything, but chances are good they will be in.
5. Prior Lake Navy - the only team with 2 games remaining, if Navy wins out and gets their FPP, 36 points could be enough to quailify.
Edina White will likely beat Kennedy, locking up the #2 spot. This would leave four teams for two spots. My guess is the winner of the PL Navy/Edina Silver game and the CC Black/Tonka Blue game will be the teams that round out the Final 4 teams.
