The hope for many in youth hockey circles is that the state's most visible hockey entity will continue to foster it's long term fan base with a program or programs that will make it easier for families to play the game. Attracting non-traditional families to try hockey in the working-class urban/suburban Twin Cities and rural areas of population growth is vital to the growth of the game in Minnesota.

Minnesota Hockey and Total Hockey already have a "Grow the Game" intiatives in place. It will be exciting to see what is unveiled Thursday.
