For the second week in a row a group of young guns from California have come into hockey rich Minnesota and won some impressive hardware. Last weekend it was the California Brick team winning the Stars and Stripes title defeating the Blades and Miracle Gold at the '04 level. This weekend the '05 LA Ducks came to the Minneapolis and swept past top AAA teams the MN Blades, Manitoba Mustangs, and the Boston Jr. Bruins...scoring an impressive eight goals a game going 5-0.

Especially impressive were forwards Christian Kim and Phillipe Lalonde who socred a combined 28 Goals in five games en route to the Coast to Coast championship. In the Championship game, Kim had six goals to lead the Ducks to an 8-2 win over the Minnesota Blades who finished the tourney 2-3.

In the Third Place Game, Junior Batainni scored the Game Winning Goal in overtime to lead the Boston Junior Bruins to a 4-3 win over the Manitoba Mustangs. Despite going winless, the 'stangs hung tough in every game. The Junior Bruins had several nice players in all three areas of the game, Will Smith up front, Michael Calabrese on the blue line and Sam Scopa in the net. Tyler Parr was a star for the Mustangs, scoring one of the prettiest goals of the tourney on Friday versus the Ducks.
