Six Days, 18 Games...1 Big Success

Hats off to the volunteers at Minnesota Hockey for pulling off another fantastic HP15 Camp for the boys from all over Minnesota. On top of some great on-ice and off-ice training the boys got to play six games in front of the HP Evaluators and several Division I coaches and Major Junior Scouts.

Off ice and off hours, these top players got a chance to bond both as a team, but probably more important get to know players from rival communities or communities they've never even heard of.

YHH got a chance to see 11 of the 18 games played in St. Cloud this week and here are ten kids we think will be selected to go to New York for the final Phase of the High Performance process. Congrats to all of the players who made it to St. Cloud and to the eventual 20 that get selected on Friday.

Scott Reedy gets ready for Thursday's Championship game

Ben Copeland, Edina - had a great week, gifted with speed and tenacity...Copeland is the type of player that can take over a game.

Grant Mismash, Shattuck - always a scoring threat when he gets the puck on his stick...has a flair for the fantastic.

Ryan Poehling, Lakeville North - strong skater, is currently a man amongst boys playing versus '99 competition.

Scott Reedy, Shattuck - the Gopher recruit made no bones about his play this week...at times was dominant with the puck.

Clayton Phillips, Edina - great skater with a lightning fast release when he shoots the puck.

Others of Note: Carter Perry, Anoka - Austin Pratt, Shattuck - Sam Walker, Edina

Defensemen

Matt Anderson, Holy Family - head and shoulders the best '99 Defenseman in Minnesota. Size, Speed and a lot of skill. Certain D1 player who plays like a fourth forward at times.

Michael Anderson, Hill Murray - strong kid that possesses a big shot and great presence in front of his own net.

Jack Harris, Prior Lake - great skater with great vision...stands out when quarterbacking the power play.

Nate Knoepke, Lakeville South - great size and speed and can be very aggressive with the puck and his body. Looking more and more comfortable as a D-man each time we see him.

Others of Note: Trevor Miklya, Eagan - Reid Hill, Duluth - Andrew Lane, Shattuck - Jack Olsen, Lakeville and Grant Anderson, Wayzata.

Goalie

Jack Robbel, Academy of Holy Angels - great athlete, very strong competitor
