Four Maverick Girls Make ATT, including MVP Kensie Malone

The YHH PeeWee Challenge showcased several top players from all over Minnesota. They stood out with talent, they stood out with effort, and some even stood on their head. Here are the 10 girls who were selected to our All Tournament Team.

Josie Bothun, St. Paul - had an incredible weekend in the nets for the Gophers, was steady when they needed steady and was a walking superlative when they needed it.

Lily Delianedis, Edina - gritty and very skilled player who battled all weekend leading scorer in the tournament.

Sophia Doll, Edina - had bar down, game winning goal in dramatic fashion for the Mavs in their Championship Game win.

Lauren Einan, Stillwater - had three goals including game winner Friday against the Bulldogs Friday night.

Grace Johnson, Hopkins - great skill set, rushed the puck and made some great plays for the Bulldogs.

Mannon Mcmahon, Maple Grove - an imposing player that made her mark every time she hit the ice.

Margaret Nicholson, Minnetonka - one of the most physically impressive players on the ice in the entire tournament. Shot the puck like no other player in the tournament.

Maiah Robert, Mounds View - outstanding speed and puck control skills...has unlimited potential to play at the next level.

CeCe Ziegler, St. Paul - last but not least, a superstar with amazing hand eye coordination who has a very bright future.

MVP: Kensie Malone, Armstrong-Cooper - great speed, dynamic skater that played with an edge. Scored big goals for the Mavericks.

Great, but not Forgotten

Here are a few players that may not have shown up on the scoresheet or had end to end rushes but caught our eye with hard work and opportunistic play:

Mackenzie Bourgerie, North Wright County - had big goals for the Gophers, always seemed to be in the right place at the right time.

Addison Hackley, Wayzata - athletic skater and puck handler who was very aggressive on the blue line for the Gophers.

Ava Johnson, Mahtomedi - fun player to watch, has a great nose for the puck...hard worker.

Josie Kramer, Brainerd - good speed, always involved in the play...made smart plays with the puck.

Annie Kuehl, Edina - we lied about end to end rushes. Kuehl had several all weekend...exciting player with speed and skill.

Anna LaRose, North Wright County - show stopper and puckstopper in the nets for the Bulldogs all weekend.

Sydney Langseth, Eden Prairie - great hands and vision...controlled the puck on just about every shift.

Ellen Nelson, Forest Lake - talented player that saw the ice well and made big plays on the blue line.

Courtney Peterson, Forest Lake - another great Forest Lake player who was aggressive with and without the puck.

Gracie Rivard, Brainerd - played lights out in the championship game for the Mavericks.
