Fun Contest Pits top Players from all ages from all over the MN

The ASPIRE Beverage Company’s GREAT MINNESOTA SHOOTOUT skills competition for youth hockey players had a successful first year in 2013-2014 with more than 5,000 participants.

Qualifier events will be held throughout the 2014-2015 hockey season at high school games and youth tournaments including many of the Minnesota’s top hockey arenas.

The seven divisions are Mites, Squirts, PeeWees, Bantams, High School/Juniors, Girls Open and Adult Open.

The Top 50 participants from each division earn a spot in the ASPIRE GREAT MINNESOTA SHOOTOUT youth and adult championships to be held at the Let’s Play Hockey Expo in River Centre during the Minnesota State Boys High School Hockey Tournament and the NCHC Frozen Faceoff tournament in Target Center. Updated standings for each division are posted online at: www.greatMNshootout.com

Participants play the game “faceoff,” which is a great test of shooting speed and accuracy where they are challenged to hit nine different panels in the shortest amount of time possible.

The cost to play is $2.00 to $5.00 per attempt and there is no limit on attempts to qualify. Great prizes including popular ASPIRE gear is awarded at both the qualifier events and the championship. And, bottles of ASPIRE natural sports drinks are given to all paid participants!
