Sartell pair steal the show at GMS Finals in St. Paul

Mite Champion Joshua Franke from Sartell

Tommy Franke from Sartell won the Squirt Division

It is a rare feat for two players from the same city to win a skill contest like the Aspire Beverage Great Minnesota Shootout. It is even more rare, when two players from the same house pull it off. Joshua and Tommy Franke each won the contest of hitting 9 shooting targets in the shortest amount of time at the GMS Championship at the Expo in St. Paul during the State High School Tournament.

Joshua won the Mite Division with a winning time of 12.58 seconds and his older brother Tommy won the Squirts with a time of 6.14 seconds. Tommy's time was the fastest recorded time in the entire championship round at any age.

Girls Champion Brenna Fuhrmann from Farmington

In the other age classes, Luke Fairchild, the son of former Grand Rapids and Wisconsin Badger star Kelly Fairchild won the Bantams. The eighth grader from Wayzata had a time of 8.88 seconds.
